CUFC Lottery, CAMLOT 000019 is registered with & licensed by Cambridge City Council, run under the rules laid down by the Gambling Act 2005 as a Small Society Lottery. Underpinning Small Society is Cambridge Fans United. Cambridge Fans United is a registered Industrial Provident Society No. 29118R.
It is the member’s responsibility to ensure emails from CUFCLottery@yahoo.com & info@cufclottery.co.uk – for the results emails – are not blocked, and members are encouraged to regularly check their spam/junk email folders.
Joining the Lottery
1. To join the CUFC Lottery payments from Players will only be accepted following the receipt of a completed application form. An application form can be completed online. Payments can be accepted by Cash (min 4 weeks £8), Standing Order, Recurring Payment, Credit Card or Cheque (Made payable to CFU). Cheques must be cleared prior to subscription commencement. An application form can be completed and downloaded here for printing and signature. Completed application forms must be returned to either the CUFC Club shop or the CFU outlet. Application forms completed online will be automatically processed.
2. Applications must be from players aged 16 years old or over. No person under this age is allowed by law to enter the CUFC Lottery. If any person is found to have entered the CUFC Lottery who is under 16 years old they will automatically forfeit any prize, and will be excluded from future entries.
3. CUFC Lottery reserves the right without notice or reason to cancel subscription, or refuse entry, to the Lottery.
4. The cost of each entry is £2 per draw. The draws will be held weekly with 52 draws held per calendar year.
5. The subscription payment will be for a minimum duration of four draws in the Lottery. Subsequent ongoing subscriptions will also be for a minimum of four draws. Lottery Players who opt to pay by cheque must make an ongoing Lottery subscription for a minimum period of thirteen draws (£26). Monthly standing order/recurring payments will be calculated as 52/12 *£2 = £8.67 per calendar month for each subscription.
6. Standing Orders and cheques must be presented and cleared funds confirmed before the participant is allowed entry into the weekly draw. The first draw into which the subscriber is entered will be at the discretion of the CUFC Lottery Team and will be a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 4 weeks following receipt of cleared funds and acceptance into the Lottery. Players accepted into the Lottery will be advised by either email or post of their acceptance date, Lottery number and first draw date/number into which they are entered.
7. There is no limit as to how many separate Lottery subscriptions may be held by any individual at any point in time.
The weekly CUFC Lottery draw
8. The draw (and any associated Jackpot Rollover Draw) will take place at the end of each week and added to the CUFC Lottery website on a Friday. Only numbers which represent fully paid up Lottery subscriptions on the day of the draw will be entered in the draw.
9. The winning number(s) will be determined by either a physical draw, or by use of a random number generator, at the discretion of the CUFC Lottery Team.
Cancellations and refunds
10. If a subscriber withdraws from the Lottery or cancels their subscription, the lottery number(s) which were allocated to them may be assigned or reallocated by the CUFC Lottery Team. Cancellations will be treated as being effective from the day they are received. For subscribers making payment by standing order or regular bank payment if cleared funds are not received in advance of the draw the subscriber will not be entered into the draw. If no funds are received after four consecutive weeks then the subscriber will be deemed to have cancelled their subscription.
11. Under no circumstances will any monies paid for lottery subscriptions be refunded.
Lottery winners
12. Winners will be notified by email, (or post where no email address has been given), within seven working days and a list of winners will be published on our website www.cufclottery.com within five working days after each draw.
13. Prize(s) will only be issued to the person named as the lottery subscriber.
14. CUFC Lottery reserves the right to publish the names of winners. Participants can elect for 'no publicity' via the website members area or by post, and although Cambridge Fans United will endeavour to uphold this request, it is not binding. The participant, as a condition of entry will allow the lottery to benefit from whatever publicity CUFC Lottery deem appropriate in the circumstances.
15. There are no alternatives to the prizes and no interest is payable. Prizes will only be paid to the winner by cheque. Cheques will be sent through the post within 28 days to the Lottery members address as held at the time.
Prize draws
16. Special free-to-enter prize draws will be made available from time to time to Lottery members and will be governed by their own specific set of rules, and which are separate from these rules. The prize draw rules will be published prior to any draw and will specify any entry qualifications which are required to participate. The prize draws will only be available for fully paid up subscribers of the CUFC Lottery.
General conditions
17. CUFC Lottery accepts no liability for loss, theft or delay due to post or for any interest accruing for late items received. CUFC Lottery will not be liable for the consequences of any late bank payments.
18. Those persons who administer the CUFC Lottery, or have a direct involvement with the management of the Lottery, are excluded from playing.
19. CUFC Lottery has the right to change or update the rules and prize fund at their discretion and without notice.
20. All decisions concerning the rules will be made by the CUFC Lottery Team and shall be final and legally binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
