How we protect and store personal information

Throughout this policy, we use the term "personal information" to describe information that can be associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been anonymised so that it does not identify a specific user.

If we need to store and process your personal information on any computers managed by third party providers, we protect it by ensuring that we only store data where there are recognised and published physical, electronic and procedural safeguards. This will include safeguards such as the use of firewalls, enforced physical access controls to buildings and files, and in the case of sensitive data (for example credit card details) will always include the encryption of data both in its transfer between and storage upon any computers on which it is held.

We authorise access to personal information only for those CUFC Lottery members or employees who require it to fulfil their job responsibilities. Any personal data collected is stored and managed in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

How we use the personal information we collect

Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customised transaction. To that end, we use your personal information to:

If you are buying goods or services not supplied directly by CUFC Lottery, we may also provide those third parties which we choose to involve with your confirmed credit card billing address to help complete your transaction. The third party is not allowed to use this information to market their services to you unless you have agreed to it.

We will never make any sensitive personal data available to any other third party other than if required to do so by law (e.g. to prevent fraud).

We never sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

We will not make any personal data available to third party organisations without your consent.

We may make your personal data available to partner organisations that have a direct affiliation with CUFC Lottery unless you tell us not to do so. You can do this by sending us an email with the subject heading 'No partner communications'.

We may combine your information with information we collect from other sources and use it to improve and personalise our services, content and advertising. If you do not wish to receive specific marketing communications from us or our partners you can simply indicate your preference by opting out (un-subscribe) by following the directions provided with any communication.
