Exciting times for the Lottery!

Time has passed seemingly very fast and there are new developments regarding the CUFC Lottery.

Firstly, the number of members continue to rise and is now at 452. There are great odds on being a weekly winner, with a one in 150 chance of winning £100 in the Must Win Monday draw, let alone the other Midweek Money Can’t Buy (Wednesday) and Abbey Accumulator (Friday) prizes. Increasing membership means increases to the Prize Pot and Distribution Fund.

The latest project involves the Lottery contributing £20,000 towards the further development of Fan Zones for the Main Stand, Habbin and a complete rebuild of the Main Stand Abbey Grill (now Abbey Eatery) catering unit. New large covered structures have been erected in both those areas and the previous large parasols have been relocated to the NRE Fan Zone at the front of the ground.

Our Wednesdays 'Midweek Money Can’t Buy' draws have recommenced, to support being ready for the new season ahead, noting that this draw is now every Wednesday, with an exciting new prize to present the match ball, including two Main Stand tickets.

To celebrate the Club’s milestones of 2,000 league and 1,000 home league fixtures, at home fixture v Bristol Rovers on Saturday 19th August, the CUFC Lottery are going to draw and announce 6x £500 lucky winners (£3,000 total) as extra Must Win prizes at the fixture. The Club have announced this via their social media channels, underlining their support and appreciation of the CUFC Lottery, of meeting our number one target: enhancing the fans' experience at the Abbey, which supports the Club in achieving high EFL Family Excellence status.

In other news, the CUFC Lottery have also bought a new laptop for £982, for controlling the scoreboard system, as the previous one provided with the system was a basic entry-level machine, and thus investment in the new laptop will future proof the system and make it a lot more stable during match day operations.

The trial switch from posting winners' cheques to internet banking payment has gone well and the switch will now be made permanent, being more efficient and saving running costs.
