Christmas hampers project
CUFC Lottery representatives Carl Badcock and Nigel Browne were delighted to meet up with CUFC Stadium Manager Ian Darler BEM at East Barnwell Community Centre to distribute 11 Christmas dinner hampers to the homes of local families. The initiative was a shared sponsorship effort between the CUFC Lottery, Tesco’s Newmarket Road and Ian’s Cambridge Charity Fundraisers, with the Lottery contributing £250.

Each family’s Christmas dinner hamper bag comprised:
- 1 large chicken or pork joint
- 1 tube of gravy granules
- 12 pigs in blankets
- 1 box of stuffing mixture
- 2 bags of potatoes
- 1 bag of carrots
- 1 bag of sprouts
- 1 bag of parsnips
- 1 box of mince pies
- 1 large family size Christmas pudding, or 2 smaller ones, or a cheesecake
- 1 family-sized Christmas cake
- 1 tin of custard
- 1 tin of evaporated milk
- 1 Cadbury's selection box
- 2 Laila chocolate elephants
Also donated were 35 toys for various ages along with 10 CUFC children’s coats.
